HOW TO BUILD GREAT RELATIONSHIPS WITH SUPPLIERS AND VENDORS

Start by asking, “How can I add value to this business?” Is it a business that sells flooring or tile? Is it a business that sells a service or product? Get to know the owners, maybe even invite them for lunch or spend sometime to know their values. Ask the business owner about their ideal client. Ask them what they are most excited about. Ask them about their mission. When you get to know someone more and you trust them, your referrals to them will be organic. The referrals will almost be second nature. Have you ever heard the phrase, “Convinced people are convincing?” I’ve heard this phrase, it seems almost everywhere, from multiple speakers, coaches and podcasts. When you are convinced the person you are referring business to is an awesome resource for people around you, without trying you will be convincing.

If you are a contractor consider seeing yourself as a connector. The more business you send over or refer over to a company, the better service you may receive as a top referral avenue.

A huge way to build relationships is to bring the suppliers and vendors visibility. Introduce them to your audience by sharing their social media post and interacting on all of their platforms.

Share your vendors products or services by sharing them on your social media platforms.

Be a connector. Ask yourself, “How can I add value to this business?”

If you live in Minnesota, here is one of our favorite vendors FLOORING AVENUE check out their website. The are located in Roger’s MN and family owned.
