WHY SHOULD YOU DECORATE YOUR BATHROOM?

What’s the point?

Decorating a bathroom goes far beyond just making it look “pretty”. A well planned and thoughtful bathroom design can literally enhance our overall mood, daily routine, promote relaxation, and add a ton of value to your home. A beautiful bathroom can infuse a sense of joy and energy, making our daily rituals more enjoyable.

You can tell when a client really knows their vibe, because they know what mood or feeling they are trying to achieve. When that feeling is brought to life, the clients have a sense of peace and joy that overcomes them, and that is the ultimate goal. Also, if you are thinking about selling or renting your home, a bathroom has the potential to increase the value of the home, and can leave a lasting impression on those who come to see it.

The Importance of a Vanity

Take for example, the bathroom vanity. Usually this is the focal point of the bathroom, and is the key item people get the most use out of. A bathroom vanity can be versatile, personal, beautiful, and functional.

Do you want more storage? Are you with a partner and value dual sinks for convenience and functionality? What kind of lighting will best suit the space? Do we want a masculine or feminine design over a neutral feel?

These are all things to consider when decorating your bathroom. Don’t forget the simple things that can be used as accents or statement pieces, such as the plumbing fixtures and hardware. You can use the hardware and fixtures to tie your whole bathroom together, from your shower, to your bathtub, to the vanity.

Even the countertop for your vanity can be an essential feature to tie your design together. Maybe it’s a tranquil white quartz, or maybe it’s a dramatic black granite to offset the neutral tones in the space. Overall, there are many things to consider when putting a bathroom design together. It’s important to have that comforting atmosphere in our bathrooms, because honestly, you know how much time you spend in there…so you might as well enjoy it!
