Living room
Let's start in the living room, which is often the first room that guests see when they enter your home. A clean and organized living room can create a positive first impression and make your guests feel more comfortable and welcome. Additionally, a tidy and organized living room can create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere that helps you relax and enjoy your time at home. Keeping your living space clean can also help you be more productive by allowing you to focus better and complete tasks more efficiently.
Now, let's tackle the list!
Declutter: Begin by getting rid of any items that you no longer need or want. Donate or sell anything that is in good condition, and throw away anything that is beyond repair.
Dusting: Use a microfiber cloth to dust all surfaces, including furniture, shelves, and picture frames.
Vacuuming: Vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture, making sure to also vacuum the floors and the crevices around the baseboards.
Deep clean carpets and upholstery: Consider steam cleaning your carpets and upholstery to get rid of any built-up dirt and stains.

Kitchen
Next up is the kitchen, the heart of the home. Over time, residue and dirt can build up, so it's important to make sure the kitchen is spotless. Having a clean kitchen can make your home feel fresh. Here are some cleaning tips you may not be doing regularly.
1… 2… 3… GO!
Clean light fixtures and ceiling fans: Use a damp cloth to wipe down light fixtures and ceiling fans.
Clean kitchen appliances: Clean your oven, stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher inside and out.
Clean and organize the pantry: Take everything out of your pantry, check expiration dates, and throw away anything that is expired. Organize the remaining items and wipe down shelves and surfaces.
Organize drawers: Get rid of old utensils that don't get used and organize the drawers.
Declutter cabinets: From dishes to spices to containers, organize each cabinet and make sure your spices and ingredients are not expired.
Sanitize high-touch surfaces: Clean fridge, handles, sinks, and everything else!
Use baking soda for tough stains: For stubborn stains on countertops or appliances, mix baking soda and water into a paste and apply it to the affected area. Let it sit for a few minutes before scrubbing it off with a sponge.
Clean your oven and microwave: If your oven has a self-cleaning function, use it to remove any built-up grease or food. For the microwave, heat up a bowl of water with some lemon slices for a few minutes, then wipe down the inside with a damp cloth.
Wipe down the backsplash and range hood.
Clean the floors and baseboards.
Wash dish towels and oven mitts.
Bathroom
On to the bathroom! I don’t know about you guys, but this is my least favorite spot in the house to clean. We all know it’s important to have a clean bathroom. No one wants to use a dirty, unpleasant bathroom. A clean bathroom is more inviting for you and your guests.
Additionally, regular cleaning can help to prevent damage and deterioration of bathroom fixtures and surfaces. Dirt, grime, and moisture can cause damage over time, leading to costly repairs or replacements.
Make sure to clean hard-to-reach places, as well as high-touch surfaces. Bathrooms are places where we clean ourselves, so it's essential that they are clean and sanitary. Cleaning helps to prevent the buildup of harmful bacteria and germs that can cause illness.
Now grab your gloves and let’s get scrubbing!
Organize closets and drawers: Sort through your clothes and shoes, and donate or sell anything you no longer need. Organize the remaining items in your closets and drawers. Don't forget to throw away any expired toiletries.
Clean bathroom fixtures: Thoroughly clean your toilet, sink, shower, and bathtub.
Clean the toilet: Begin by pouring cleaning solution into the toilet bowl. Use the toilet brush to scrub the inside of the bowl, including under the rim. Let the cleaning solution sit for a few minutes, then flush the toilet. Next, wipe down the exterior of the toilet, including the base and lid, with a clean cloth or sponge.
Clean the sink and faucet: Spray the sink and faucet with cleaning solution, and use a sponge or cleaning cloth to scrub them clean. Pay special attention to any hard water stains or soap scum. Rinse with water, and wipe dry.
Clean the shower and bathtub: Spray the shower and bathtub with cleaning solution, and use a scrub brush or sponge to clean the walls, floor, and fixtures. Rinse with water, and wipe dry.
Clean the mirrors and windows: Spray the mirrors and windows with glass cleaner, and wipe them down with a clean cloth or paper towel. Use a squeegee to remove any streaks.
Clean the floors: Sweep or vacuum the bathroom floor to remove any loose debris. Then, mop the floor with a cleaning solution, paying special attention to any grout lines or corners.
Replace shower curtains and floor mats.

We’ve asked Erika for the best tips and tricks to share with you for this spring. She is the best of the best and has years of experience.
1. If you have a fiberglass or ceramic tub that is difficult to clean. Sprinkle baking soda, spray with
vinegar (or peroxide), then drizzle original blue Dawn dish soap. Scrub until it comes clean and
rinse. If it does not come clean try again. If you have a small powered drill get the yellow
cleaning brush attachments (Home Depot or Amazon) it will save you so much time and elbow
grease. This method also works in sinks and toilets as well.
2. When washing your windows, mix water with a small amount of original blue Dawn dish Soap.
Use a towel or window cleaning wand, a squeegee, and the microfiber window cleaning towels
for drying (Amazon). This method works every time and there are no streaks. Do not forget to
have a separate bucket for cleaning the window sills.
3. After you spring clean your refrigerator, line the shelves with Press and Seal. It makes it so much
easier to clean whenever there is a spill.
4. For your kitchen appliances and sink. Get “Clean It” cleaning paste on Amazon. You wet the
sponge and dab in the paste. Scrub the appliance/sink. Wipe with a wet microfiber then polish
with a dry micro fiber. This works on stainless still appliances and glass top stoves as well. Then
when you are done with all of the appliances and you have rinsed out the wet microfiber towel
wipe down the counters and dry with the other microfiber.
