What’s the big deal?

Countertops are a big deal in your remodel or new build, so we’re hoping this post can help you narrow down your selections a little more. There are so many different factors in countertop selections. The options are not limited to materials, styles, durability, maintenance requirements, and preferences. We don’t want the process to be daunting so we’re here to help!

There are a few things to consider before choosing your surface. Start by establishing a budget for your countertop selection. This will help narrow down your options and focus on materials that fall within your price range. Next, think about how you use your kitchen or bathroom. Do you cook frequently? Do you have children or pets? Understanding your lifestyle and needs will help you choose a countertop material that suits your specific requirements.

Also keep in mind the overall aesthetics of your space. Whether you’re in the bathroom or kitchen, keep in mind the style so your countertop can blend in seamlessly. Consider the colors, patterns, and textures of the countertop materials and how they will complement the existing or planned elements in your kitchen or bathroom. Along with different materials comes different durability. Keep in mind the maintenance for each material and consider what is most important to you. Some materials, like granite and quartz, are highly durable and resistant to scratches and stains, making them suitable for high-traffic areas. Others, like marble or wood, may require more maintenance and care.

There are a lot of great options out there, but these six are some of our clients favorites. We’ve listed pros and cons of each surface to give you a better idea of the functions.
